My name is Virginia Whemby and I am an Information Technology student at Southern Cross University(SCU) affiliated with the Institute of Business Studies University.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>I am from East Sepik province, a province on the northern tip of Papua New Guinea. The capital town of East Sepik is Wewak, and my small village is Passam. I was born in 2003 at Boram general hospital. But I grew up in Gulf province(Malalaua Station), that is where my mother is working. She&#8217;s a Health Extension Officer(HEO) and was posted there in 2007. I attended my primary and high school there. Then in 2021 was selected to Sogeri National High where I did my year 11 and 12 and graduated in 2022. I am a Roman Catholic and love participating in religious activities<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>If you ask me what my favorite day is that would be Saturday. Saturday is a free day, I could sleep in until the sun is above the roof of the house. I love it because my alarm is turned off and my mind is switched to holiday mode, where I know I don&#8217;t have to wake up so early the next day to get ready for school.<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Information Technology is a big word, I am majoring in user experience. My village is just near Passam National High. The\u00a0 name of my village is Poreara. There is a waterfall called Passam Falls and is located just behind my house. My grandfather Damien Sarwabe was the chief of that village and later the was passed down to my father as he is the first of king in the family.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>My mom&#8217;s dad is from Kubalia (Japraka) which is just some kilometers away from my dads&#8217; village. So it is easier for us to migrate from one village to another. Dogs are said to be men&#8217;s true friends and I believe in that, this is because no matter how harshly they are treated, they will still love you. My dog&#8217;s name is Sockey, it is a legendary name from my village, she was named after Sockey a dog that saved her owner from a giant by digging a hole and hiding the owner under that hole. My Cats name is Bara, I gave him that name after he was transformed from she to him. Bara is very lazy, he sleeps all day and all night, he doesn&#8217;t know how to hunt a rat, but he is very clever when it comes to stealing. He is huge and knows me very well, he loves sleeping in my bed and staying around me. Apart from those two, I still love other animals too, but not a pig I only love its meat.
